The quality assurance system is maintained to achieve compliance with the quality requirements specified by customer purchase orders, contracts, and ISO9001. Adherence to documented policies and procedures improves consistency and is a requirement for employment at HCC. The HCC staff has a combined total of more than forty years of experience in the field of contact manufacturing and repair covering both A/C and D/C applications. Because of this, we have developed the expertise to renew and build electrical parts up to and including 345 kV and specialized apparatus up to 160 kA.
HCC is unique in that we prioritize need in the areas of top quality materials, reduced downtime, immediate response, and fair pricing. If so desired, we would go into your physical plant and conduct a detailed inspection of your needs at no cost to you.
Although there are many types of the same equipment throughout the country, we have found many modifications due to the specialized requirements of that locale or environment. Therefore, it is important for us to have a mechanical drawing, a sample of the moving and stationary contacts or both. It is also very helpful if we are provided with the machine data. We make drawings of all parts for future reference. We guarantee our workmanship.
Delivery of rebuilds is normally 2 - 3 weeks, with new parts taking 4 - 6 weeks.
HCC is available 7 days a week, should an emergency arise. If the part has been previously engineered and tested, rush jobs can usually be accommodated within 48 hours. We are in the process of stocking many of the more popular contacts to be available for immediate shipment.
HCC believes in the old-fashioned way of doing business, namely quality workmanship with fair pricing and immediate response to the customer. In most cases, we are able to respond with a verbal or faxed quote within 24 hours of the time we receive the items or request. The quality assurance system encompasses receipt of parts and materials, identification, stocking, and issuing of parts and materials, the entire process of fabricating and manufacturing, storage, packaging and shipping.
The system is designed to assure that products and/or services manufactured or performed at HCC or at our supplier facilities are subject to adequate control of quality to ensure customer satisfaction. This system is designed to provide for early detection of discrepancies and positive corrective action.
Written inspection and test procedures are prepared to supplement applicable drawings and other specifications to the extent necessary.
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for monitoring all inspection equipment to ensure that no out-of-calibration tools are being used, or are available for use by anyone without first being calibrated.
DELIVERY SCHEDULES
Turnaround time would be 48 hours in an emergency situation, with normal delivery being 2 - 3 weeks for rebuilding and 4 - 6 weeks for new parts.
Since the inception of HCC in 1984, we have responded to our customers' needs 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. We intend to continue that policy. The only premium we charge is overtime (at time and a half for weekday evenings and Saturdays. Sundays, Holidays, and from 12 midnight - 6AM weekdays, we charge double time). We rotate our supervisors to be available on weekends and holidays because we understand you may have needs which could require our services.
